Wisdom House Denver is a center for multifaith engagement and spiritual inquiry. Founded by Rabbi Stephen Booth-Nadav, WHD will offer opportunities to deepen connection with ones own tradition, and to learn about others.
As Samir Selmanovic says: “For religion to recapture human imagination, the theology and practice of finding God in the other will have to move from the outskirts of our religious experience to its center. The heart of a religion that will bless the world will beat at its edges…. We are realizing that our relationship with the other and our relationship with the Divine Other are inextricably intertwined. Now we have the responsibility and the right to seek and find “sacred space” outside the walls of our religions. What an opportunity!” (“It’s Really All About God,” by Samir Selmanovic)
Wisdom House Denver will be that opportunity! WISDOM HOUSE DENVER is a coalition of teachers, leaders, and practitioners joining in community to offer speakers, programs, classes, practice groups, and more,…. designed to deepen knowledge, connection and practice in individual faith traditions, to strengthen understanding and true relationship with the faith traditions of others, and to touch the Spirit that underlies them all.
We offer these services to any individual. We offer services to clergy and coalitions of clergy in the Denver Metro area. We offer our services to individual faith communities, educational and governmental institutions. Through our networking capabilities (both electronic and live relationships), we hope to help strengthen metro Denver faith communities and their connections with each other.
Recently we: Provided a “multifaith invocation and benediction” at both the State of Colorado 9/11 Ten Year Remembrance, and the Metro. State U. MLK Peace Breakfast. Rabbi Steve spoke on a panel in Ft. Collins with Miroslav Volf (“Allah: A Christian Response”), and has upcoming engagements at Regis University and several churches and mosques around the area. AND MORE COMING SOON!!
Your support and vision would be greatly appreciated.
